Softball Team: There will be a Softball Game between the Journeyman and Apprentices at this year’s picnic at the Stampede Ball Park. We are also putting together a team to participate in the 9th District Softball Tournament with both JW and Apprentices. Sign ups for both events are at the office. |
Graduating Class of 2008Our congratulations go out to our new Journeyman Wiremen who have completed the 5-Year Apprenticeship Training Program. They are: Robert Barnes, Kurt Beatty, Mathew Garbe, Jonathan Hancock, Guillermo Interiano, Mark Klasna, Robert Price, Vince Wongsuchit, and David Wright. It takes a lot of dedication to work many hours in the field and attend school two nights per week for five years. Congratulations on a great job well done! We will be celebrating with the Graduating Class of 2008 at the Double Tree in Ontario on June 14, 2008. |

To renew, fill out the application form found on the DAS Website (the application will not become available until fall of 2008). On the application you must show under penalty of perjury that you have worked 2,000 hours within the past three years in the industry and taken 32 hours of continuing education relevant to the category of certification. DAS accepts payment only by check or money order payable to: DIR - Electrician Certification Fund. Payment must be included for certification to be renewed. The form will be downloadable before the fall of 2008 at: www.dir.ca.gov/das/electricaltrade.htm. You will also be able to call (415) 703-4919 to request the form be sent by mail. |
